Nubian Harajuku ヌビアン原宿
The flagship location of one of Tokyo's most respected luxury streetwear select shops, running strong for over twenty years. Nubian pioneered the "luxury street" concept — mixing high-end maisons with up-and-coming labels rooted in hip-hop and street culture. The Rick Owens and dark avant-garde selection is deep, and they regularly carry exclusive pieces and colorways.
The Harajuku store has a darker, moodier atmosphere than the Shibuya PARCO location. It sits on a side street just off Harajuku's main drag — easy to find. The crowd is a mix of tourists and fashion-forward locals, and the people-watching alone is worth the visit. Staff are a bit more aloof than at the Shibuya spot, but knowledgeable if you engage them.
The shop also functions as a cultural hub with DJ events, pop-ups, and brand activations. Before or after, check out the quiet temple and park right nearby — surprisingly peaceful for Harajuku and overlooked by most visitors.
