Dover Street Market Ginza ドーバー ストリート マーケット 銀座
Rei Kawakubo's seven-floor concept store that blurs the line between retail and art installation. Every floor has a different energy — from Comme des Garçons mainline to rotating brand pop-ups and one-off collaborations you won't find anywhere else. You can see all seven floors in 20-30 minutes, but you'll probably linger longer.
The coffee table book section and in-house cafe are highlights worth seeking out. Prices are full designer retail — don't expect deals. Over 150 brands curated under one roof, with a predictably strong CDG presence but also plenty of surprises. The Ginza location means the crowd leans tourist-heavy, though you'll occasionally spot seriously fashion-forward people browsing alongside you.
Keep an eye on their events. DSM regularly runs special sales and archive drops — around New Year they've done things like a Raf Simons archive sale with pieces from earlier seasons. Worth following their socials to time your visit.
